The survey aims to better understand interactions around livestock grazing and other land uses (such as tourism, outdoor recreation, forestry, conservation, infrastructure development, or renewable energy production), perceived challenges, and where information and digital tools could help improve coordination or coexistence, as well as where non digital solutions may be more appropriate.

It will take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

If you are involved in….

  • Land governance and planning
  • Land and natural resources management
  • Tourism, recreation and outdoor activities
  • Wildlife, culture and community
  • Infrastructure and economic activities
  • Or just someone who enjoys hiking/walking

The survey is available here: https://fundatia-adept.limesurvey.net/138716?lang=en

What we call moorland in the UK and Ireland is called rangeland elsewhere in the world. We are using the term rangeland here as similar surveys are being conducted across the European partners in the project.

DIGI-Rangeland is a 4-year EU-funded project to share knowledge and practical experience on digital technologies and innovations useful to ruminant farmers and land users to support sustainable livestock farming in rangeland areas across Europe. Participants from 11 countries are involved, led by the French Livestock Institute.

Participation in the survey is voluntary and will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Questions marked with a star (*) are mandatory. The survey is anonymous, no identifying personal information will be collected, and responses cannot be traced back to you. All data will be handled, stored, and processed securely in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK general data protection regulation. Data from all countries will be collated and stored (up to 5 years after the project has finished) by colleagues from ADEPT (Romania). If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact your national DIGI-Rangeland coordinator (claire.morgan-davies@sruc.ac.uk).
