The search is on for Wales’ Dairy Management Specialists with an interest in lameness.

Have you got a good understanding of dairy cow lameness and are keen to develop this further?

Are you eager to learn and to adopt the most up-to-date lameness management techniques to improve cow wellbeing and performance, and to increase profitability?

Join us at a unique 2-day workshop which will focus on a whole management approach and will educate delegates on preventative measures, behavioural changes and troubleshooting on farm to improve all cows mobility.

The workshop is open to 15 delegates. To apply for a place, you will have to answer a set of questions, and from these applications, delegates will be chosen. At the end of the event, each delegate will be given a folder of information and will have compiled a unique lameness action plan to take home and put into practice on their own farm.

By participating in this unique two-day workshop, an in-depth understanding of lameness management and cow behaviour/signals for maximising cow performance will be gained. Also, understanding and implementing key lameness protocols into your management system will be a focus.

The workshop will be held over two days on the 4-5 February 2020 at Coleg Cambria Llysfasi, Ruthin, with the application period open from 12 December 2019 to 9 January 2020.
