To find out more about establishing and managing woodland blocks on-farm, join Farming Connect at one of its Demonstration Sites for practical demonstrations and discussions.

Options to consider when managing farm woodland and the process of planning to establish shelterbelts or woodland areas on farm will be outlined at Skirrid Farm, Abergavenny.

Iwan Parry, of Tilhill Forestry will discuss management of small conifer blocks on-farm and there will be a demonstration of felling and extraction of established blocks. Gareth Davies, of Coed Cymru will discuss the design and management of shelterbelts and Wentwood Sawmills will give a practical milling demonstration, offering opportunities to add value to on-farm timber.
